What Is Promote Positive?
PromotePositive Is a Movement Of Which De'anthony Bishop Started In August Of 2009 as a Club At Campbell Highschool. People Always Ask What Is PromotePositive, And What Do You All Do? Well PromotePositive Is a Spread Of Positivity Throughout The Community. PromotePositive's Main Purpose Is To Show Teens and Even Some Adults, That There's also a More Positive Way To Have Fun and Spend Free Time. We Hold Charity Events To Give Back To Our Community, and Other Lively Events Outside Of the School Such As The PromotePositive Parties, Which Are Meant To Bring Out Everyone Who Supports The Movement So they Can Mingle, Socialize, and Just Let Go Without Having Any Negativity Hold Them Back. PromotePositive Is Officially a Club @ Pebblebrooke, and Campbell Highschool. As Our Fan Base Continues To Rise, We Continue To Take Over Cobb County One School At a Time.

Promote Positive Promoting Negative?

January 2, Promote Positive threw a New Year’s bash that seems to have been promoting “negative” because of the controversy that occurred.
“. . .a boy got jumped…and at the end of the party he came back and started shooting,” Jessica Hodges, sophomore.
After a long week of school, most high school students want something lively to do. Spending money shopping and going to the movies starts to become routine after a few weekends. So, a minority of the students begins finding a cheaper way to have fun with their friends and meeting others by attending parties.
Junior De’Anthony Bishop, the president of Promote Positive, established a club that originated at Campbell High School. He strives to involve students in alternative safe outlets. He has held several events such as the canned food drive, a movie night, and seasonal parties.
At the last party, held January 2, unexpected negativity swarmed the room.
“Well GMS [a clique the initials stand for Get Money Squad] were fighting people. Girls were dancing [suggestively] on the floor and somebody was smoking [weed] in the party.” Anonymous
“. . . [We] made an announcement on the microphone that said this is Promote Positive. Fighting is not tolerated. . .” Jordan Cornelious, senior.
With negativity surrounding everyone, Bishop took it upon himself to regroup and re-examine the mission of the club- to uplift students.
Promote Positive parties are not always negative, but sometimes negative people who attend disturb the positive party goers with their negative actions.
“The parties are planned to bring people [together] who support the movement … all together to let go and have some fun. But people like GMS don’t understand what we are about, so they fight against it, ” said Cornelious,
